The next five years of marketing will be about the convergence of five main areas that will require brands and agencies to adapt like never before. Brands and marketing agencies must adapt. Some will struggle with this shift while others will simply roll along as the adoption incurs. The trick is in capitalizing on this moment in time, understanding it and being ready for a future (a future that will move at a much quicker pace). We have the technology. We have the data. We have the new media channels and platforms. We have the opportunity to publish whatever we want - in text, images, audio and video - instantly (and for free) to the world. What we do with this moment will be telling. It will also set the pace for everything that flows out of our marketing departments for the next five years. The opportunity is now. What are these five movements? Attend this session and you will know.

If you think it saves the day, you are doing it wrong! Tools, theories and "silver bullet" approaches to the "big hairy gorilla" problem of bid management are not hard to find these days. The application of those methods quite often does not deliver the wanted results, though – how can that be? In many cases it's like putting lipstick on a pig: there is nothing wrong with the bid management system or the rules applied, but the underlying campaign structure at large has not be been built with a strategy in mind or even with an operational plan on how to build out and expand your campaigns once released from its leash (that's the pig right there, folks!). This Session will show why a bid management system can never perform if the structures are not up to standards along with some favorite rules that have proven to work in the past.

In Search Marketing there are two worlds, big businesses with big budgets and the SMB. The needs and expectations of SMBs are completely different. They have fewer resources and less time to dedicate to understanding the intricacies of search. They do not have the massive budgets that allow for large scale testing and optimization work. Their primary focus is on the bottom of the funnel, and customer acquisition. The strategies used to create a SEM campaign for a SMB are different than those used for larger businesses, as are the metrics reported on. This presentation will demonstrate some of the strategies that Yellow Pages Group has used to become the number one provider of SEM services to SMB’s in only a couple of years.
